What's the difference between manufactured stone veneer and natural stone?
Manufactured (cultured) stone veneer is cast from molds of real stone and colored to match. It weighs much less than natural stone, so it usually doesn't need a footing or wall ties and can go on most framed or masonry walls. Natural thin stone veneer is real quarried stone cut thin. We supply and install both and can help you weigh look, budget and durability.
Which stone veneer brand is best?
It depends on the look and budget. Can stone veneer be installed over existing brick or siding?
Often, yes. Clean, sound brick can frequently be faced with stone after proper surface prep. Siding is removed and the wall is prepared with a weather-resistive barrier, metal lath and scratch coat before stone goes on. We'll inspect the wall and recommend the right method during your estimate.
Can you match the stone already on my house?
In many cases. Because we carry four manufacturers, we can usually find the same or a very close profile and color for additions, repairs and new columns. Bring a photo or a loose piece of stone and we'll compare.
Do you sell stone veneer for DIY or only install it?
