Custom Stone & Brick Fireplaces in Gainesville, GA

A fireplace is the focal point of a room, and the stonework is what people notice first. Since 1991, Hollis StoneWorks has designed and built custom fireplace surrounds, hearths and chimneys for homeowners and builders across Gainesville, Hall County and the north Atlanta metro. Below are some of our recent fireplace projects.

What We Build

• Floor-to-ceiling stone fireplaces in natural stone or manufactured stone veneer
• Brick fireplaces, including classic, tumbled and painted-look brick
• Raised hearths, mantels and hearth extensions in stone, flagstone or bluestone
• Outdoor fireplaces for covered patios and outdoor living rooms
• Refacing an existing brick fireplace with stone veneer to update a dated room

Materials We Work With

We supply and install stone veneer from Eldorado Stone, Cultured Stone, Dutch Quality Stone and Premier Stone, natural thin stone veneer, and brick from Pine Hall, Cherokee, Acme, US Brick and General Shale. Because we carry so many lines, we can match an existing look or help you choose something new at our Gainesville stone yard.

How a Fireplace Project Works

1. Consultation – send photos or plans, or we visit to see the space.
2. Material selection – compare stone and brick samples side by side.
3. Estimate – one clear, itemized price for materials and installation.
4. Installation – our masons prep the wall, set the stone or brick, and clean up.

Fireplace FAQs

Can you put stone over my existing brick fireplace?
